Expectations & Routines
As the year progresses, if you stop by our classroom, you may see that it doesn't run like other classrooms. We will be learning through Whole Brain Teaching, a research based system that utilizes all areas of the brain, keeps children engaged throughout their lessons.
Research shows that children retain more information when they have an opportunity to put it into their own words and use gestures to help emphasize key instructional units...plus, it's amazingly fun! For more information about Whole Brain Teaching please visit www.wholebrainteaching.com.
Classroom Rules (based on WBT- Whole Brain Teaching):
1. Follow directions quickly.
2. Listen while your teacher is talking.
3. Raise your hand to speak or leave your seat.
4. Make smart decisions.
5. Be safe, kind and honest.
